Privacy policy

This site has no registration and no forms asking for personal data.

Browsing data: while you visit, the hosting infrastructure receives the technical data every browser sends, such as IP address, browser type and operating system, requested page, date and time. It is used to serve the pages and to protect the site from abuse.

Usage statistics: the site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to measure visits and performance in aggregate form. These tools use no cookies and build no profiles: a visit is recognized only through a temporary identifier derived from the request, which is discarded within 24 hours.

Email: if you write to me, I process the data in your message, such as your address and its content, only to reply to you.

The site uses a single cookie, smart-portfolio-locale, which remembers your chosen language (Italian or English) so that you see the right version on later visits. It is a technical cookie: it lasts 12 months, contains no data that identifies you and therefore does not require your consent.

The site also stores in your browser's local storage (localStorage), under the key smart-portfolio-theme, the light or dark theme you choose with the dedicated button. The value stays on your device until you delete it, is not sent to the server and does not identify you.

If you use the chat, the browser keeps the conversation identifier in session storage (sessionStorage), so that the conversation can continue while you browse. It is deleted when you close the tab.

No profiling cookies and no third-party cookies are used.

Browsing data and statistics are processed on the basis of the controller's legitimate interest in running, protecting and improving the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Email data is processed on the same legal basis, in order to follow up on your request.

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., which processes browsing data and statistics on behalf of the controller as a data processor. Vercel is based in the United States: data is transferred outside the European Union with the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.

Data is not sold or disclosed to anyone else.

Browsing data and statistics are kept for the period set by the hosting service and then deleted or anonymized. Emails are kept for as long as needed to handle the correspondence.

You can ask at any time for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15-21 GDPR). To do so, write to the address above.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live or work.
